Alysse Fustaino

Alysse has always taken an artistic approach to hairdressing, after graduating from SUNY Purchase with a B.A. in Liberal Studies and Fine Arts in 2008, she followed her lifelong dream to becoming a hairdresser. Her background in the arts really helped her cultivate her style as a hair artist, looking at cutting and styling hair as another medium that just happens to be on a person. “I loved sculpture the most, and even studied some glass blowing in high school with my favorite art teacher; cutting and styling hair always felt so natural because of my experience with sculpture!”

Since graduating cosmetology school in 2009 Alysse likes to take a natural, organic approach to her cuts, taking into consideration her clients lifestyle and creating effortless looks that can take on new shapes and forms as they grow out. She loves lived-in styles from pixies to shags created by razor cutting and classic shapes like a strong bob created with the scissors. She has also taken many advanced cutting and styling classes with some of the industry’s best trainers and editorial stylists. She also loves doing formal and editorial styling!

Her love for the arts has driven her desire to learn hair coloring as well. She hopes to offer coloring services in the future.

When she’s not in the salon she loves spending time with her family, her young son and husband. She also enjoys baking, cooking and loves yoga and meditation to help clear her mind and keep her focused.
